Thursday, September 2 at 1 PM SPOA sponsoring the second in a series of candidate forums for the upcoming City of Boston Preliminary Mayoral Election scheduled for September 14, 2021.

Our guest was Boston mayoral candidate, John Barros, who talked about his vision for the City of Boston and how his administration will address the needs of housing providers and small property owners.

John joined SPOA President, Allison Drescher, and SPOA Vice President, Amir Shahsavari, to answer questions from small property owners and housing providers on topics including rent control, affordable housing, the eviction moratorium , government policies hostile to housing providers, and improving the tone of landlord-tenant relationships through policies that encourage home ownership and community development.

SPOA is a volunteer-based organization and depends on the support of its members. Please visit our website to make a donation to the Small Property Owners Association: https://www.spoa.com/contribute

As an organization, the Small Property Owners Association (SPOA) does not endorse political candidates. Therefore, this conversation is not an endorsement of Mr. Barros's candidacy by SPOA. However, SPOA extends an open invitation to all candidates to share their views about housing. We bring this information to you for educational purposes, but it is up to you, the voters, to decide the merits of the candidates' positions.
