SPOA Article on Tenant Opportunity to Purchase (TOPA) in Banker and Tradesman

We are pleased to announce that a version of the TOPA article from our April newsletter was published in Banker & Tradesman today! We are grateful to be recognized by this prestigious publication, which eliminated its paywall as a courtesy so that we could share this article for free.

We hope that this will help SPOA advance its message further in advocating for the rights of property owners throughout Massachusetts, as we strive to provide for our tenants amid a hostile environment.

We thank all of our members who contacted their representatives to oppose TOPA (or Tenant Right of First Refusal) — and we urge you to continue voicing your concerns! The state legislature could make a decision about the TOPA bills any time between now and July 31. So please stay engaged, as we are already making a positive difference!
