Looking Back at 2023 in Video
Dear SPOA Members and Supporters:
In 2023, we launched the SPOA Housing Policy Series, while producing more video content than ever before. The four episodes released this year covered the pitfalls of rent control, debunking landlord stereotypes, a property owner running for city council, and the perspectives of immigrant and diverse housing providers regarding property rights. Moreover, we produced brief video messages updating members about specific issues, including the statewide rent control ballot initiative put forth by tenant activists that eventually failed.
Earlier in the year, SPOA also made a guest appearance on the Asset Strategy Podcast with Kent Fitzpatrick to discuss the Boston rent control proposal.
